There's nothing like a great film that includes adorable cats, dogs, horses, bunnies and other pets. The bonding that these type of films creates between parents and children and children and their pets, is truly a lasting and magical one.

Pet related films help children to develop love and compassion for animals and teaches them to view animals as special creatures that have feelings too. When parents take their children to the theater or play a DVD at home, making it a special occasion, it's an experience children don't easily forget. Families are spending less and less quality time together because of this difficult and stressful economy.  National Pets in Film Day is a great day to plan to start a wonderful family tradition!

Adults alike enjoy films that feature pets and this makes it all the while more fun for their children. Take some time out to plan a pet related movie day, especially on national pet holidays
such as these.

A great way to increase the child/parent/animal bond, is to plan a special film night each week for the entire family. Don't forget to invite Fido and Fluffy!
